Pepper relish recipe details
Ingredients
1 | green bell pepper, minced |
1 | red bell pepper, minced |
2 tbsp | mustard seeds |
2 tbsp | brown sugar |
1 kg | green cabbage, minced |
1 tsp | salt |
120 ml | apple cider vinegar |
Instructions
Combine peppers, cabbage and salt in a bowl. Let stand overnight in the refrigerator.Drain and discard the liquid from the vegetables and transfer them to a large glass jar.
Place mustard seeds, brown sugar, and vinegar in a saucepan and bring to a boil. Pour over the vegetables in the glass jar and stir well.
Leave to cool to room temperature and then refrigerate.
