- Ingredients:
- 4 pears
- 1 cup red wine
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 Tablespoon fresh lemon juice
- 1 Tablespoon lemon zest
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon vanilla

Peel, halve, and core the pears. Place wine, sugar, lemon juice, zest, cinnamon, and vanilla in a saucepan. Mix and bring to a boil. Add pears and simmer. Turn at ten minutes, and cook about another ten minutes or until tender. Remove pears and reduce liquid by half. Pour wine sauce over pears and top with vanilla yogurt, toasted coconut, toasted almonds, or granola.
