Ingredients
6 medium | pears |
6 | whole cloves |
300 ml | dry red wine |
100 g | sugar |
water |
Instructions
Pierce blossom end of each pear with a clove and palce pears in a deep casserole.Dissolve sugar in a bit of water.
Combine wine, syrup and pour over pears. Preheat oven to 200°C.
Cover and bake for 30 minutes. Uncove and bake for further 15 minutes. Serve hot or cold.
