Patti’s Award Winning Scones recipe

- 2 cups flour
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 3 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 cup dried fruit (raisins, dried cranberries, and/or dried apricots-cut small)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1-1/4 cup heavy cream
Mix dry ingredients, add fruit, then add vanilla and heavy cream. Mix until moist. Divide dough in half form two circles, flattened, on greased cookie sheet. Cut with knife into 8 pieces each circle. Pull wedges apart and bake 15 minutes in 425 degrees preheated oven. Recut and serve on a silver tray lined with doily.
