Pasteli sesame honey candy recipe details
Ingredients1. Hulled white sesame seeds (3c)
2. honey (1 1/3c)
3. lemon peel of (1strip about ¼ *1 inch optional)
Method of preparation
1. Take a saucepan, add lemon peel and honey in it and then keep it to boil. Add sesame seeds; cook it by stirring it regularly to mix it properly. When the seeds get fully mixed and the mixture has boiled again, then take off the pan from heat. Now take out the lemon peel and throw it out.
2. Take a sheet of parchment, spread it on working surface and then spread the hot mixture lightly on it about ¼ inches high. When the pasteli gets cool to room temperature then place it in the refrigerator as it is on the sheet. Keep it to chill for about 2 to 3 hours.
3. Then cut the pastel into small pieces with parchment paper on the bottom and then serve it. Peel of the parchment paper while eating. Store the pieces of pastel in refrigerator.
