Pasta with fried beef and a bell pepper paste recipe details
Ingredients
1 | red bell pepper, halved |
4 tbsp | olive oil |
25 g | pine nuts, roasted |
1 clove(s) | garlic, chopped |
salt and pepper | |
400 g | pasta |
1 tbsp | oil |
200 g | beef steak, cut into strips |
2 sprig(s) | basil, chopped |
Instructions
Place the bell pepper halves skin side downwards onto a lined baking tray. Bake in the preheated oven at 225°C until charred. Cover with a damp kitchen towel and allow to cool for some minutes. Peel the bell pepper. Place the bell pepper with garlic, pine nuts and the olive oil into a blender and process until smooth. Season to taste the paste with salt and pepper.Cook the pasta in salted water until al dente. Drain.
In a pan heat oil. Fry the steak strips until slightly browned.
Divide the pasta among warmed plates, drizzle with the paste and arrange the beef strips on top. Serve immediately, garnished with basil leaves.
