Pasta with bell pepper sauce and fried onion recipe details
Ingredients
500 g | pasta, e.g. spaghetti |
750 g | bell peppers, red and yellow |
1 clove(s) | garlic |
1 | onion |
2 sprig(s) | thyme |
200 g | single cream |
salt and pepper | |
1 pinch(es) | soft sugar |
5 tbsp | fried onion |
some | freshly grated Parmesan cheese |
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 220°C.Seed and halve the bell peppers, then wash, pat dry and place on a baking sheet and roast for 12 minutes. Remove from the oven, cover with a damp tea towel and allow to cool slightly.
Cook the pasta until al dente. Drain and keep warm.
Dice the garlic and the onion. Bring the single cream with the garlic, the onions and the thyme to the boil and boil down to the half. Remove the thyme.
Remove the skin of the bell peppers, roughly dice the peppers, add to the cream and puree with a hand blender. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
Serve with the pasta, sprinkled with fried onion and grated Parmesan cheese.
