Ingredients

1	onion, chopped
8 sheet(s)	lasagna
8 slice(s)	Gouda cheese
2	eggs
100 g	breadcrumbs
1 clove(s)	garlic, minced
2 tbsp	olive oil
850 ml	tomatoes, canned
	salt and pepper
1 pinch(es)	sugar
1 tsp	basil, chopped
1 tsp	oregano, chopped
2 tbsp	flour
750 ml	oil

Instructions

Sauté the onion and the garlic in olive oil. Add the tomatoes and mash with a fork. Bring to a boil and season to taste with salt, pepper and sugar. Stir in the basil and the oregano. Cook over low heat for 10 minutes.

Cook the lasagna sheets in salted water until done. Drain and pat dry with kitchen paper. Place a slice of Gouda cheese onto each then tightly roll up the pasta sheets.

In a small bowl, whisk the eggs with a fork. Season with salt and pepper. Turn the cheese rolls in flour first, then in egg and finally in breadcrumbs.

In a large pan, heat the oil and fry the rolls until golden all around. Drain on kitchen paper and serve immediately together with the tomato sauce.
