Ingredients

1 small	sweetheart cabbage (pointed cabbage), roughly chopped
2 clove(s)	garlic, sliced
1	fresh red chilli pepper, chopped
1 tbsp	salt preserved vegetables (see my recipe in the database)
500 g	potatoes, floury variety, peeled and quartered
150 ml	milk
40 g	butter
	salt
	freshly grated nutmeg
10 small	pork sausages
	vegetable oil

Instructions

Heat the milk with the butter in the microwave (If not available, in a small saucepan on the hob). Cook the potatoes in salted water until soft. Drain, add milk and butter and mash. Season to taste with salt and nutmeg.

In a wide pan heat 2 tablespoons of oil and stir-fry the cabbage together with chilli and garlic over high heat until slightly browned. Stir in the preserved vegetables and cook for another minute.

In another pan, fry the sausages in 1 tablespoon of oil until brown and crispy.

Serve the cabbage with the mashed potatoes and the sausages.
