Oven baked french toast recipe details
Ingredients
1 loaf(s) | French bread, cut into slices |
4 medium | eggs |
180 ml | half cream |
250 ml | milk |
80 g | butter |
130 g | brown sugar |
⅛ tsp | cinnamon, ground |
1 tsp | vanilla extract |
1 ½ tbsp | corn syrup |
Instructions
Grease a baking dish and arrange the slices of bread in the bottom.Beat together eggs, milk, cream, vanilla and cinnamon in a bowl. Pour mixture over bread slices, cover and refrigerate overnight.
The next morning, preheat oven to 180°C.
In a small saucepan, combine butter, brown sugar and corn syrup; heat gently and pour over bread and egg mixture.
Bake French toast uncovered, for 40 minutes.
