Orange Rice recipe

Ingredients
200 g | rice |
1 tbsp | olive oil |
1 medium | onion, finely chopped |
1 medium | orange, peeled, chopped |
1 | bay leaf |
500 ml | water |
salt and freshly ground pepper, to taste |
Instructions
In a large saucepan over medium heat, sauté the onions in the olive oil for 5 minutes, stirring frequently, until they begin to soften.
Season the onions with the salt and pepper and continue cooking for about 2 minutes.
Add the water, the rice, the bay leaf and oranges and bring the mixture to a simmer. Cover the pan, reduce the heat to low and cook for about 20 minutes.
Remove the bay leaf and stir before serving.
