Ingredients
175 g | butter |
175 g | caster sugar |
175 g | flour, self-raising |
3 medium | eggs |
3 | oranges |
100 g | orange marmelade |
To serve: | |
whipping cream, whipped |
Instructions
Peel two oranges and cut into 1.5cm rings.Line a springform tin with baking paper, grease with butter and put the orange slices on the bottom of the tin.
Cream butter and sugar, add well beaten eggs gradually. Add the juice and finely grated rind of the third well washed orange. Then add the sifted flour and mix gently.
Pour dough on top of the orange slices into the tin and level with a knife. Bake in a preheated oven 180°C.
Serve with whipped cream, in which you can add some vanilla essence and 1 tbsp caster sugar or some vanilla sugar.
