Orange custard sauce recipe details
Ingredients
190 g granulated sugar |
5 tbsp flour |
1 dash(es) salt |
1 orange, grated zest |
3 tbsp fresh lemon juice |
120 ml orange juice |
3 medium eggs, yolks only |
1 tsp butter |
240 ml whipping cream |
Instructions
Combine the granulated sugar, flour, and salt in a heavy saucepan.
Add orange zest, lemon and orange juices and egg yolks and blend well.
Cook over low heat, whilst stirring, until thickened.
Stir in butter, stir until combined and smooth. Remove from heat and cool.
Whip the cream and fold into the cooled orange mixture.
