Ingredients

200 g brown sugar
180 ml corn syrup
60 g butter
180 ml evaporated milk
⅛ tsp baking soda
1 tsp vanilla

Instructions

In a medium saucepan combine sugar, syrup, and butter. Cook, stirring constantly, over medium heat until sugar has dissolved.

Bring to a full boil and allow to boil, without stirring, for exactly 1 minute. Remove from heat and let stand for 5 minutes.

In another bowl, combine evaporated milk, baking soda and vanilla. Stir into the slightly cooled sauce.

To store, pour into jars, cover, and refrigerate.

To reheat, place jar in a pan of warm water.
