Ingredients

4 large navel oranges
115 g sugar
2 tbsp water
2 tbsp Grand Marnier
16 strip(s) candied orange peel

Instructions

Peel the oranges, being careful to remove all off the white membrane and any strings.

Cut the oranges in half vertically and remove any white membrance on the cut servaces.

Cut the orange halves crosswise into slices 1.5 cm thick and place in a serving bowl. Set aside.

In a small, heavy saucepan, combine the sugar and water. Place over medium heat and bring to a boil, with out stirring, until bubbles cover the intire surface of the syrup. Boil for 1 minute longer and remove from the heat.

Add the Grand Marnier to taste and stir to mix. Pour the hot syrup over the orange slices and stir to mix.

Garnish with the candied peel and serve.
