250 ml | water |
Instructions
Scrub mussels well with a stiff brush. Rinse well and put them in a heavy pot with a lid. Add water, cover and steam for 10 minutes. Discard any mussels that are still closed. Use a knife to remove mussels from the shells.Cut the bacon slices in half crosswise and fry until half done. Drain on kitchen paper and cool slightly. Wrap a half slice of bacon around each mussel and secure it with a toothpick.
Bake in a preheated oven at 200C° for about 5 minutes or until bacon is crisp. Drain on kitchen paper and serve.
