Easy short ribs flavored with fresh mushrooms and cream of mushroom soup. You can be out in your workshop or working on the car while these cook up in your slow cooker.

Ingredients
Serves: 6- 1 large onion, sliced
- 4 pounds beef short ribs
- 1/2 pound sliced fresh mushrooms
- 1 (10 3/4 ounce) can condensed cream of mushroom soup
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 envelope brown gravy mix
- 1 teaspoon minced garlic
- 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons cold water
Preparation method
Prep: 15 mins | Cook: 6 hours1. Set ribs on top of onion in a large slow cooker. In a bowl, stir mushrooms with soup, 1/2 cup water, gravy mix, garlic, and thyme. Drizzle over ribs and place lid on slow cooker.
2. Cook on LOW for 6 1/2 hours. Remove ribs and cover with foil. Pour pan juices into saucepan and bring to a boil. In a measuring cup, whisk the cornstarch into the water, then pour in a thin stream into the boiling pan juices. Cook until thickened, about 2 minutes.
