Mongolian beef recipe details
Ingredients
- Beef – ½ kg (boneless)
- Ginger/Garlic – 1tbsp (chopped)
- Soya Sauce – 4tbsp
- Vinegar – 2tbsp
- Crushed Red Chilies – 1tsp
- Meat Tenderizer powder – ½ tsp
- Onion – 2 (cut finely along length)
- Spring Onions (hari Piyaz) – 1 (finely cut)
- Salt – 1tsp
- Sesame oil (til ka tail) – 1tsp
- Sesame Seeds ( til) – 2tbsp
- Corn Flour – 1tbsp
- Black Pepper Powder – ½ tsp
- Oil – 2tbsp
Instructions
- Cut beef into strips and marinate with the meat tenderizer pwder,soya sauce, black pepper, salt, vinegar and sesame oil for an hour
- Heat oil in a wok (karahi)
- Fry onion on high flame for one minute and take out
- Add ginger/garlic and beef in wok and fry for 2 to 3 minutes. Add red chilies
- Dissolve corn flour in water and add to wok, and cook for 1 minute
- Garnish with fried onions and remove from flame
- Add sesame seeds and spring onions. Serve
