Minced meat and macaroni casserole recipe details
Ingredients
250 g | macaroni |
salt and pepper | |
1 | onion, chopped |
1 bunch(es) | bouquet garni, chopped |
2 tbsp | bell pepper purée |
2 tbsp | olive oil |
300 g | beef mince |
250 ml | vegetable stock |
150 g | cherry tomatoes, halved |
150 g | frozen peas |
paprika powder | |
4 medium | eggs |
200 ml | milk |
50 g | freshly grated Cheddar cheese |
Instructions
Cook the macaroni in salted water until al dente. Drain.In a saucepan, heat the oil and fry the minced beef until crumbly. Add the onions and the bouquet garni and stir-fry for a few minutes. Add the bell pepper purée and cook for another minute. Deglaze with the stock and bring to a boil. Simmer for 20 minutes. Add the tomatoes and the peas and bring to the boil again. Season to taste with salt, pepper and paprika.
Combine the macaroni with the mince sauce in a casserole dish. Whisk the eggs with the milk. Season with salt, pepper and paprika. Evenly pour the mixture over the pasta. Sprinkle with the cheese.
Bake in the preheated oven at 200°C for 30-40 minutes.
