Minced meat and bell pepper tart recipe details
Ingredients
150 g | floury potatoes |
salt and pepper | |
150 g | flour |
80 g | soft butter |
2 | onions |
3 | bell peppers, red, green and yellow |
4 tbsp | olive oil |
500 g | minced meat, beef and pork |
mild paprika powder | |
3 | eggs |
150 g | crème fraîche |
150 ml | milk |
2 tbsp | tomato puree |
Instructions
Peel and quarter the potatoes and cook them in salted water for 15- 20 minutes or until done. Drain and mash and allow to cool.Knead together the flour, butter, ¼ teaspoon of salt and the mashed potatoes. Grease a springform tin (26cm) and line the tin with the dough, pulling up the edges to the top. Set aside in a cool place.
Finely dice the onions. Halve and seed the bell peppers and cut them in small slices. Sauté onions and peppers in hot oil for approximately 3 minutes, then remove from the pan. Fry the minced meat in the pan until crumbly and browned and season to taste with salt, pepper and paprika.
Preheat the oven to 200°C.
Mix the bell peppers with the minced meat and divide the mixture on the dough.
Whisk together the crème fraîche, milk and eggs and season the mixture with salt, pepper and the tomato purée. Pour over the meat and bell peppers.
Bake the tart for approximately 40 minutes.
Serve warm or cold.
