Milky way cake recipe details
Ingredients
8 | Milky Way bars |
260 g | sugar |
250 g | flour |
300 ml | buttermilk |
120 g | pecans, chopped |
180 g | butter |
4 medium | eggs, beaten |
¼ tsp | baking soda |
1 tsp | vanilla extract |
For the Icing: | |
320 g | sugar |
60 g | butter |
180 g | chocolate chips |
240 ml | evaporated milk |
240 ml | marshmallow creme |
Instructions
Melt bars with 60g butter. When melted, remove from heat and let cool.Cream remaining butter with sugar. Add eggs and cooled chocolate mixture.
Combine flour and baking soda and then add flour and buttermilk to the batter. Mix well. Add vanilla and nuts.
Grease large enough loaf pan (or use more than one).
Preheat oven to 170°C and bake 30-45 minutes.
Icing:
Combine sugar and milk in a saucepan and cook to a soft ball stage.
Remove from heat and add butter, marshmallow creme and chocolate chips. Stir until melted. Spread on cake and let cool.
