Marmalade french toast recipe details
- Ingredients
- Six 1-inch slices of sourdough French bread (use the long loaves)
- 2 eggs (or 4 egg whites for low-cholesterol diets)
- 1/2 cup orange juice (May need more depending on how long the bread stays in the dip)
- 1 teaspoon brown sugar
- 2 teaspoon margarine
- orange marmalade
Combine eggs, orange juice and brown sugar. Beat, or blend, until well mixed. Pour into casserole and then place bread into the mixture for about 3 seconds on each side. Heat margarine in frying pan on medium-high heat. After placing the bread in the pan, shake the pan after about a minute to loosen the bread from sticking. Cook bread until golden brown on both sides. Pass the marmalade.
