Maplewood inn granola recipe details
- Ingredients
- 6 cups uncooked oats
- 1 cup sliced or silvered almonds
- 1 cup broken walnuts
- 1 cup chopped pecans *(can use all walnuts and omit pecans)
- 1 cup sesame seeds
- 1 cup shelled sunflower seeds
- 1 cup wheat germ
- 1 cup shredded coconut
- 2/3 cup canola oil
- 2/3 cup honey
- 1/4 cup maple syrup (real)
- 1 cup each raisins and dates or a combination of any dried fruit for a total of 2 cups
Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Mix oats, nuts, seeds, wheat germ and coconut. Heat oil, honey and syrup until blended. Pour over dry ingredients and mix well. Spread into a large baking pan(s) or deep cookie sheet and bake until lightly browned, turning and stirring every 10 minutes. (Usually cooks in 30 minutes). Cool when done, mix and add dried fruit. Store in airtight container (preferably glass). Keeps well.
