Ingredients
For the pastry: | |
230 g | flour |
60 g | butter |
60 g | lard |
30 ml | water |
70 g | jam |
For the Filling: | |
60 g | dried milk |
570 ml | water |
45 g | sugar |
45 g | custard powder |
Instructions
Pastry:Mix together the ingredients for the pastry, except the jam. Then line a tin with the pastry, prick well and blind bake. Allow pastry to cool.
Spread jam onto the pastry.
Filling:
Combine the dried milk and water and stir to dissolve.
In a separate bowl, combine the custard powder with enough milk to make creamy custard.
Heat the remaining milk over medium heat and bring to a boil. Add the sugar and then the custard mix. Cook for 10 minutes and pour in to the pastry case and sprinkle with a little sugar, to prevent a skin forming. Allow to cool before serving.
