Mahdzoon chicken recipe details
Ingredients
450 g | chicken breast fillet |
olive oil | |
4 clove(s) | garlic, crushed |
120 ml | dry white wine |
1 tsp | basil leaves, chopped |
2 medium | onions, chopped |
480 ml | plain yoghurt |
salt and pepper | |
1 tbsp | parsley, chopped |
Instructions
In a bowl mix 100ml of the oil with garlic, wine and basil. Season with pepper. Coat the meat with the marinade and refrigerate overnight.In a pan heat 2 tablespoons of oil. Pat dry the chicken breast fillets and fry until golden browned all around.
In a separate pan, heat 2 tablespoons of oil and sauté the onions until lucent. Transfer the chicken breasts to the onions. Season with salt and pour over the yoghurt. Bring to a boil, cover and cook over low heat for approximately 20 minutes or until the meat is cooked through. Adjust the seasoning. Serve sprinkled with parsley.
