Magnificent apple bread details
- Ingredients:
- 1/2 stick margarine
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 2 cups flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 2 Tablespoons sour milk
- 2 cups chopped apple
- 1/2 cup chopped nuts
- Topping:
- 2 Tablespoons margarine
- 2 Tablespoons flour
- 2 Tablespoons sugar
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
Cream together margarine and sugar. Beat in eggs and vanilla. Combine flour and salt. Combine baking soda and sour milk and add alternately with dry ingredients to the butter and sugar mixture. Fold in chopped apples and nuts. Pour into large, well-greased bread loaf pan. Fork together the ingredients in the topping and sprinkle on top of unbaked loaf. Bake at 375 degrees for 50 to 60 minutes.
