Figs in orange sauce �xa0 la waterloo recipe details
- Ingredients:
- 75 grams sugar
- 5 Tablespoons water
- 3 dl orange juice (about 3 small glasses)
- 1 teaspoon cornstarch
- 1 Tablespoon Cointreau (or orange liqueur)
- 8 figs, washed and halved
Cook sugar and water in chrome/iron pan until caramelized. Mix orange juice with caramelized mixture until sugar is dissolved. Mix cornstarch with Cointreau, transfer to mixture, and cook for 2 minutes, stirring. Add figs to sauce, cook shortly, and let stand about 2 to 3 hours. Serve with vanilla ice cream.
