Lemon bread with lemon glaze details
- Ingredients
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/3 cup butter, melted
- 1 Tablespoon lemon extract
- 2 large eggs
- 1-1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/3 cup milk
- 1/3 cup pecans, chopped
- Grated rind of one lemon
- Lemon Glaze
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 1/3 cup lemon juice, fresh squeezed
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Beat together sugar, butter, and lemon extract for one minute. Beat in eggs one at a time. Add flour, baking powder, and salt. Add milk while beating mixture. Fold in lemon rind and nuts. Pour into greased bread pan. Bake for 60 minutes.
