1 cup sugar
1/3 cup butter, melted
1 Tablespoon lemon extract
2 large eggs
1-1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
1/3 cup milk
1/3 cup pecans, chopped
Grated rind of one lemon
Lemon Glaze
1/3 cup sugar
1/3 cup lemon juice, fresh squeezed

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Beat together sugar, butter, and lemon extract for one minute. Beat in eggs one at a time. Add flour, baking powder, and salt. Add milk while beating mixture. Fold in lemon rind and nuts. Pour into greased bread pan. Bake for 60 minutes.

Lemon Glaze: Very simple. Mix together. Pour on bread or anything when hot. Or warm in sauce pan. Let cool a little and drizzle with lemon glaze while bread is still warm.
