Ingredients

1 small onion, chopped
2 tbsp butter
4 tbsp flour
500 ml dry white wine
250 ml chicken broth
1 tsp grated lemon zest
1 tbsp fresh thyme, chopped
1 tbsp fresh dill
3 tbsp Dijon mustard
salt, to taste

Instructions

Heat butter in a large saucepan over low heat. Add the onion and sauté until soft. Add the flour and stir until completely blended.

Gradually pour in the white wine and chicken broth. Stir continuously. Bring the sauce to a boil and then let simmer for 10 minutes.

Stir in the lemon zest, thyme, dill and mustard and season to taste with salt.
