Lemon and wine sauce recipe details
Ingredients
1 small | onion, chopped |
2 tbsp | butter |
4 tbsp | flour |
500 ml | dry white wine |
250 ml | chicken broth |
1 tsp | grated lemon zest |
1 tbsp | fresh thyme, chopped |
1 tbsp | fresh dill |
3 tbsp | Dijon mustard |
salt, to taste |
Instructions
Heat butter in a large saucepan over low heat. Add the onion and sauté until soft. Add the flour and stir until completely blended.Gradually pour in the white wine and chicken broth. Stir continuously. Bring the sauce to a boil and then let simmer for 10 minutes.
Stir in the lemon zest, thyme, dill and mustard and season to taste with salt.
