Lamb ragout in creamy tomato sauce recipe details
Ingredients
1 kg | lean lamb, cut in 3cm cubes |
2 cup(s) | onions, chopped |
2 clove(s) | garlic, mashed |
5 | tomatoes, diced |
½ bunch(es) | chives, chopped |
2 tbsp | dill, chopped |
½ bunch(es) | parsley, chopped |
1 | parsley root, sliced |
400 g | tomatoes, pureed |
6 tbsp | single cream |
salt and pepper | |
some | butter |
Instructions
In a roasting tin with a lid, heat the butter. Add the meat and season with salt and pepper. Stir in the onions and the garlic and cook over medium heat for some minutes.Stir in the tomatoes, pureed tomatoes, chives, dill, parsley and parsley root. Cover with the lid and simmer over low heat for 30-35 minutes. Add the single cream and cook without lid for 5 minutes. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
