Ingredients:
1/4 cup butter
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup milk
1 cup half & half
1/4 teaspoon thyme
1/4 teaspoon basil
1 pound mild cheddar cheese, shredded
20 hard-cooked eggs, thinly sliced
1 pound bacon, cooked and crumbled
1/4 cup chopped parsley
Buttered Stove Topstuffing
Instructions:

In a medium saucepan, melt the butter. Add the flour, milk, and cream, stirring until the sauce thickens. Stir in the herbs and Cheddar cheese. Mix well until all the cheese is melted. Place some of the eggs in a casserole, sprinkle half of the bacon and parsley over the eggs. Add the cheese sauce. Repeat. Bake in 350-degree oven for 30 minutes. Can be prepared a day or two in advance and refrigerated.

Serves: 8 to 10
