Japanese fried rice recipe details
Ingredients
400 g | rice, cooked |
150 g | peas, cooked |
2 tbsp | finely grated carrot |
2 medium | eggs, beaten |
1 medium | onion, diced |
1 tbsp | butter |
2 tbsp | soy sauce |
salt and pepper, to taste |
Instructions
Cook peas and set aside.Cook rice and pour rice into a large bowl. Leave to cool.
Scramble the eggs in a frying pan.
Take rice once cooled to room temperature and combine with peas, grated carrot, scrambled eggs and diced onion. Carefully toss all of the ingredients together.
Melt 1½ tbsp of butter in a large frying pan and add all ingredients into the pan. Add soy sauce and salt and pepper. Cook for 6-8 minutes over heat, stirring often.
