Ingredients
Serves: 4- 1 pound refrigerated pizza dough
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 1 pound hot Italian sausages, casings removed
- 1 onion, sliced
- 2 red bell peppers, sliced
- Salt and pepper
- 2 tablespoons finely chopped fresh rosemary
- 3/4 cup ricotta cheese
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Preparation method
Prep: 15 mins | Cook: 20 mins1. Preheat oven to 500 degrees F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. Roll out the pizza dough to fit the baking sheet.
3. Pour 1 tablespoon olive oil into a large skillet and set over medium heat. Cook sausage in the hot oil until browned through, breaking up into small pieces; drain on paper towels.
4. Pour remaining oil into the skillet. Cook onion and bell peppers in hot oil until tender, seasoning with salt, pepper, and rosemary as they cook.
5. Top pizza with sausage, onion, and pepper. Add ricotta in spoonfuls and sprinkle with Parmesan and 1 tablespoon oil.
6. Bake for 20 minutes, until crust is browned and cheeses are melted.
