Irish coffee sauce recipe details
Ingredients
190 g | granulated sugar |
7 tbsp | water |
240 ml | freshly brewed coffee |
2 tbsp | Irish whisky |
Instructions
Combine sugar and water in a medium saucepan and bring to a boil over medium heat. Simmer, stirring, about 10 minutes.The mixture will become very foamy as it starts to darken. Keep stirring constantly and, just as it becomes caramel color, turn off the heat but continue stirring.
Remove from heat and add coffee. Mix well and let cool. Stir in the whisky and refrigerate.
