This is a quick and easy hot chicken wing sauce which I arrived at through years of trial and error. If you like it hot, you’ll love this recipe. It covers anywhere from 15-40 wings, depending on their size.
Ready in: 2 hours 15 mins
Ingredients
Serves: 16
- 4 ounces generic hot sauce (Red Devil(R), Frank’s(R) Red Hot Sauce, etc)
- 2 ounces Tabasco(R) sauce
- 2 ounces cider vinegar
- 2 teaspoons garlic powder
- 2 teaspoons hot Madras curry powder
- 1 teaspoon ground mustard
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- 2 dried cayenne peppers, diced with seeds (or 2 teaspoons crushed red pepper flakes)
- 1 teaspoon Scorned Woman(R) (or Jim Beam(R), or Blair’s Death(R), or your favorite) specialty hot sauce
Preparation method
Prep: 2 hours 15 mins
1. Add all ingredients to a 16 ounce container in the order indicated. When finished, mix thoroughly with a spoon. Refrigerate at least 2 hours, stirring every hour. After your wings are grilled, broiled, or deep-fried to your liking, add them to a large skillet and pour the sauce over them. Cook over medium heat, stirring the wings frequently to evenly coat, until no extra sauce remains in the skillet. Remove wings from skillet and serve.
