Indoor grilled sake ginger chicken recipe details
Chicken breasts spend a little time with the warm flavors of Japanese rice wine and subtly spicy ginger, then quickly cook on a dual-contact grill. Inspired by Michael’s “Grilled Sake Ginger Chicken.”
Ready in: 45 mins
Ingredients
Serves: 2- 1 cup sake
- 1 green onion, minced
- 1 clove garlic
- 1 tablespoon rice wine vinegar
- 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, minced
- 1/2 tablespoon soy sauce
- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- Salt
- Freshly ground black pepper
Preparation method
Prep: 10 mins | Cook: 5 mins | Extra time: 30 mins, marinating1. Combine sake, green onion, garlic, rice wine vinegar, fresh ginger, and soy sauce in a large plastic resealable bag. Add chicken, seal bag, and turn to coat. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to marinate, then drain and season with salt and pepper.
2. Preheat indoor dual contact grill to medium.
3. Grill chicken breasts for 4 to 6 minutes, depending on thickness, or until no longer pink inside.
