Hummingbird cake recipe details
- Ingredients
- 3 cups flour
- 2 cups sugar
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1-1/2 cups oil
- 1 teaspoon butter flavoring
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 3 eggs
- 8 ounces crushed pineapple or applesauce
- 3 bananas, mashed
- 2/3 cup chopped pecans (optional)
Mix all ingredient except bananas (and nuts) together by hand in a large bowl. Add mashed bananas (and nuts) and stir again by hand. Bake in greased and floured bundt pan at 325 degrees for 1 hour and 5 minutes. Let cool 1 hour before removing from pan.
