Ingredients

  1. Chicken Breast – 1
  2. Carrot – 1 (finely cut)
  3. Black Pepper powder – 1 tsp
  4. Egg – 1 (beaten)
  5. Prawns – 10
  6. Cabbage – 1 cup (finely cut)
  7. Chicken Stock (yakhni) – 8 cups
  8. White Vinegar – ¼ cup
  9. Bean Sprout – ½ cup
  10. Fresh Coriander (hara dhania) – ½ cup (chopped)
  11. Salt – 1tsp
  12. White Pepper powder – ½ tsp
  13. Sugar – 2tsp
  14. Corn flour – 6tbsp (dissolved in water)

Instructions

  1. Cut chicken breast into long thin strips
  2. Cut cabbage and carrot finely
  3. Marinate chicken and prawns in salt and ½ tsp black pepper. Set aside for a little while
  4. Boil stock in a pot
  5. Add chicken and prawns and cook for 10 minutes
  6. Add carrot, cabbage, bean sprout, and salt, remaining black pepper, sugar, white pepper, and white vinegar
  7. When soup starts to boil, add corn flour and egg
  8. Serve delicious hot and sour soup garnished with fresh coriander
