Hot dog stew recipe details
Hot Dogs, everybody’s favorite, turned in to a quick, tasty meal.
Ready in: 1 hour 5 mins
Ingredients
Serves: 4- 6 Hot Dogs (Nathan’s(R) are good, if available)
- 1 large can Italian seasoned diced tomatoes
- 1 medium onion, cut into 1/2 in, squares
- 1/2 medium green pepper, cut into 1/2 in. squares
- 1 (16 ounce) box elbow or shell macaroni
- Salt and pepper to taste.
- Pinch cayenne pepper, if desired for some heat.
Preparation method
Prep: 20 mins | Cook: 45 mins1. Cut the Hot Dogs in 3/4 in. lengths.
2. Saute onion and green pepper in a tablespoon of oil, until onions are translucent. Add hot dogs and continue cooking for 3 minutes. Add tomatoes and 1/4 can of water, and bring to a boil. Cover and let simmer for 30 minutes.
3. In the meantime, cook macaroni per package instructions.
4. Serve the stew over the macaroni and enjoy.
