Homemade granola recipe details
- Ingredients:
- 2 cups regular rolled oats
- 1/2 cup coconut
- 1/2 cup coarsely chopped, slivered, or sliced almonds or chopped peanuts
- 1/2 cup sunflower seeds
- 1/4 cup sesame seeds
- 1/2 cup honey or maple-flavored syrup
- 1/3 cup cooking oil
In a bowl, stir together rolled oats, coconut, almonds or peanuts, sunflower seeds, and sesame seeds. In another bowl, combine honey or syrup with oil and stir into oat mixture. Spread mixture evenly on a greased 15 x 10 x 1-inch baking pan. Bake in a 300 degree oven for 30 to 35 minutes, stirring after 20 minutes. Bake until it is lightly browned. Remove from the oven and immediately turn out onto a large piece of foil. Cool, and then break into clumps and store in tightly covered jars.
