Homemade bread for a grill party recipe details
Ingredients
650 g | plain flour |
350 g | wholemeal flour |
40 g | yeast, crumbled |
1 tbsp | salt |
650 ml | lukewarm water |
Instructions
Sift the flour into a bowl and add the salt. Make a well in the middle and crumble in the yeast. Add 150ml of the water and dust the surface with a little flour. Allow to rest for 10 minutes.Pour in the remaining water and knead until the dough is smooth and pliable. Allow to rise at a warm place for 1 hour.
Transfer the dough onto a floured working surface and knead again. Form to a loaf and place onto a lined baking tray. Allow to rise for another 30 minutes.
Preheat the oven to 225°C. With a sharp knife, cut the bread loaf on top crosswise. Bake for 30 minutes. Reduce the heat to 175°C and bake for 30 more minutes.
