Herrings in guinness recipe details
Ingredients
10 | fresh herring fillets, washed, rolled up |
600 ml | Guinness |
150 ml | vinegar |
2 medium | onion, chopped |
2 | bay leaves |
10 | cloves |
4 | black peppercorns |
1 tsp | brown sugar |
salt and pepper, to taste |
Instructions
Combine vinegar and stout and mix.Place fillets in a baking dish and add the stout and vinegar mixture. Add all other ingredients and cover with baking parchment.
Bake at 150°C for 20-25 minutes. Remove from oven, allow to cool, and serve.
