Hawaiian turkey roll ups recipe details
You’ve had fruit roll-ups, right? Well, these are about a bajillion times more awesome.

Ingredients
Serves: 12- 2 (2 1/2 pound) boneless turkey breast halves, skin removed but reserved
- 3/4 cup butter, at room temperature
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 teaspoon dried sage leaves
- 2 celery ribs, chopped
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 3 cups chicken broth
- 1/2 cup chopped macadamia nuts
- 2 teaspoons poultry seasoning
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 (12 ounce) package plain stuffing cubes
- 1/2 cup unsweetened pineapple juice
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
Preparation method
Prep: 30 mins | Cook: 3 hours1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees F.
2. Place turkey breast halves between two sheets of parchment paper or plastic wrap. Use a rolling pin or meat pounder to flatten to 3/8-inch thickness; remove top layer of paper and arrange the meat so that the edges on one side overlap by about 1/2-inch.
3. Mix 1/2 cup butter with garlic and sage in a bowl. Coat turkey with the mixture.
4. Place 1/4 cup butter in a saucepan and set over medium heat. When butter melts, stir in celery and onion and cook for 5 minutes to soften.
5. Stir broth, macadamia nuts, poultry seasoning, salt, and pepper into the saucepan. When mixture comes to a boil, turn heat down to low and cook for 2 minutes. Add stuffing cubes and stir well to coat.
6. Pour stuffing mixture onto the turkey and spread out to cover, leaving a 1-inch border. Roll turkey up, cover with reserved turkey skin, and tie closed with kitchen string. Set in a roasting pan.
7. Whisk pineapple juice together with olive oil in a bowl.
8. Roast turkey for about 2 1/2 hours, until turkey reaches an internal temperature of 170 degrees F. Every 20 minutes or so, brush with pineapple oil mixture.
9. Remove from oven and let stand for 10 minutes. Slice and serve.
