Harissa blend recipe details
Ingredients
2 tsp | cumin seeds |
2 tsp | coriander seeds |
4 tbsp | dried red chillies, chopped |
2 tsp | mild paprika powder |
1 tsp | sea salt |
½ tsp | caraway seeds, ground |
1 tsp | mint, dried |
1 ½ tsp | garlic flakes, dried |
some | water |
some | olive oil, extra virgin |
Instructions
Dry-roast and ground the cumin and coriander seeds.Mix well together all the dry ingredients.
Mix the blend, as much as you need, with an equal amount of water, then just enough oil to create the consistency you desire.
Store the unused dry mix in an air-tight container.
Harissa paste tastes good with couscous dishes, on cold meat sandwiches or sprinkle it onto meat before cooking.
