Ingredients

2 tsp cumin seeds
2 tsp coriander seeds
4 tbsp dried red chillies, chopped
2 tsp mild paprika powder
1 tsp sea salt
½ tsp caraway seeds, ground
1 tsp mint, dried
1 ½ tsp garlic flakes, dried
some water
some olive oil, extra virgin

Instructions

Dry-roast and ground the cumin and coriander seeds.
Mix well together all the dry ingredients.

Mix the blend, as much as you need, with an equal amount of water, then just enough oil to create the consistency you desire.

Store the unused dry mix in an air-tight container.

Harissa paste tastes good with couscous dishes, on cold meat sandwiches or sprinkle it onto meat before cooking.
