Hamburger tomato sauce casserole recipe details
Just a couple of extra steps and a jar of spaghetti sauce becomes the base for an easy dinner casserole.

Ingredients
Serves: 8- 8 ounces wagon wheel pasta
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 pound fresh mushrooms, sliced
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 1/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 large green bell pepper, thinly sliced
- 1 (26 ounce) jar plain spaghetti sauce
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
Preparation method
Prep: 20 mins | Cook: 40 mins1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F and coat a 3 quart baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.
2. Bring a large saucepan of salted water to boil over medium-high heat. Add pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente; drain and pour into prepared baking dish.
3. Brown ground beef with mushrooms and onions in a large skillet over medium heat, about 8 minutes. Pour off excess liquid.
4. Top pasta with Parmesan, green pepper, cooked beef and mushrooms, and finally the spaghetti sauce. Cover with foil.
5. Bake for 30 minutes, then remove foil, top with mozzarella, and bake for 10 more minutes. Remove from oven, let cool slightly, and serve.
