You’ve always known what’s missing from Greek salad: steak, of course. Just proves again that if you want something done right, you have to do it yourself.

Ingredients
Serves: 2- 1 boneless sirloin steak
- 1 tablespoon steak sauce
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 1 /2 cups sliced mushrooms
- 1 tablespoon sherry or chicken broth
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 4 cups torn mixed salad greens
- 10 cherry tomatoes, halved
- 2/3 cup thinly sliced cucumber
- 10 pitted Greek olives
- 1/4 cup finely chopped red onion
- 1/2 cup crumbled feta cheese
- 1/4 cup balsamic vinaigrette
Preparation method
Prep: 15 mins | Cook: 12 mins1. Preheat grill to Medium. Coat steak with steak sauce and marinate while grill comes to temperature.
2. Melt butter in skillet over medium heat and add mushrooms. Cook, stirring, for about 10 minutes until mushrooms begin to turn brown, then add sherry, salt and pepper. Continue to cook until liquid evaporates. Remove from heat.
3. Place steak on grill and cook for about 6 minutes on each side. Remove from heat and let sit while you compose the salads.
4. Distribute greens on two plates. Cover with tomatoes, cucumber, olives, onion, and some of the browned mushrooms. Slice steak and top salads with steak. Pour vinaigrette over salads, then sprinkle with cheese.
