This is the best stuffing that I have EVER had. It is 100% homemade (less the store purchased croutons that my Great grandmother made from scratch!!) THIS IS NOT A FAST MADE RECIPE. YOU HAVE TO COMMIT TO THIS ONE!
Ready in: 2 hours 20 mins
Ingredients
Serves: 6
- 1 (12 ounce) bag UNSEASONED croutons
- 1 medium white onion, minced
- 6 stalks celery (no tops), minced
- 1/2 teaspoon poultry seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon rubbed sage
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 tablespoon pepper
- 2 (14 ounce) cans chicken broth
Preparation method
Prep: 20 mins | Cook: 2 hours
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
2. Fill croutons to top of 9×5-inch loaf pan. Spread onion and celery on top of croutons. Spread all ingredients (except broth) also on top. Mix well. Pour broth on top and mix again. Cover loaf pan with foil.
3. Bake in the preheated oven for 1 hour 45 minutes. Remove foil; bake an additional 15 minutes.
4. Enjoy!!
