Granola cereal recipe details
- Ingredients
- 1 cup oat groats
- 1 cup rolled oats
- 1 cup wheat flakes
- 1 cup sesame seeds
- 1/3 cup warmed honey
- 1 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/2 cup safflower oil
- 1 cup mixed raisin
- 1 cup broken pecans
Preheat oven to 300 degrees.
Toss the dry ingredients together in large bowl. Warm honey, nutmeg, and oil in a small pan. Pour mixture over the flakes and toss until mixture is coated.
Spread flakes in an even layer in a large baking pan and bake for 30 minutes on lower shelf of oven, TURNING mixture every 10 minutes. Mixture may seem slightly sticky when first removed from oven but will crisp up when cooled. Store in an airtight container in refrigerator for up to a week.
