- Ingredients
- 4 cups milk
- 4 eggs
- 1 cup Grape Nutscereal
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon melted butter
Grammie Dorr was born in Pittsfield, Maine. This recipe has been in the family for many years. We all enjoy it — as do all our guests — as a breakfast dessert.
Cook milk, cereal, sugar, vanilla, salt, and melted butter 15 minutes in double boiler. Beat eggs and add to mixture. Pour into greased casserole dish. Set greased casserole in pan of hot water that comes half way up casserole dish. Bake in 325-degree oven for 1 hour or until set.
