Gorgonzola and caramelized onion recipe details
Ingredients
2 tbsp | butter |
3 tbsp | Gorgonzola cheese, crumbled |
1 tbsp | brown sugar |
½ tbsp | balsamic vinegar, red |
2 medium | onions, sliced into rings |
8 slice(s) | baguette, 1 cm thick |
Instructions
Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat.Add onions, brown sugar and vinegar and saute for about 25 minutes, until onions are golden brown, stirring frequently.
Place baguette slices on ungreased cookie sheet. Broil until lightly toasted.
Spoon caramelized onions evenly onto each baguette slice. Sprinkle with cheese.
Broil about 1 minute or until cheese is melted.
