Gorgonzola and caramelized onion recipe details

Ingredients

2 tbsp butter
3 tbsp Gorgonzola cheese, crumbled
1 tbsp brown sugar
½ tbsp balsamic vinegar, red
2 medium onions, sliced into rings
8 slice(s) baguette, 1 cm thick

Instructions

Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat.

Add onions, brown sugar and vinegar and saute for about 25 minutes, until onions are golden brown, stirring frequently.

Place baguette slices on ungreased cookie sheet. Broil until lightly toasted.

Spoon caramelized onions evenly onto each baguette slice. Sprinkle with cheese.

Broil about 1 minute or until cheese is melted.
